Monthly Meetings

The Watercolour Society of Victoria holds monthly meetings (normally on the last Monday of the month) in the historic Victorian Artist Society building at  430 Albert Street East Melbourne Victoria, 3002. Details are advertised in the Monthly Newsletter which is E-Mailed to all members prior to the monthly meeting.  A feature of the meetings is the Members Gallery where recent paintings of members are exhibited between 6.30 and 7.00 PM and then again during supper. Photographs of paintings should be E-Mailed to;    gallery@watercoloursocietyofvictoria.com.au    by the Friday before the Monday meeting.      

 

Due to the Coronavirus, the Society is unable to hold it's monthly meetings as from February 2020. Members will be informed of changes to this decision through the Newsletter and email. We hope you understand and appreciate this decision.

WATERCOLOUR DEMONSTRATION     CHAN DISSANAYAKE 

Chan Dissanayake is a multi-award inning artist living in Canberra. He is a highly regarded watercolourist and tutor. Over the last 15 years of his art career, Chan’s passion has been watercolour. A medium which offers him spontaneous response and free expression. Chan currently teaches watercolour at the Australian National University.  His subject matter is varied tackling rural landscapes, urban city scapes to snow and coastal scenes.
